Usage

Acknowledging the Use of DARTS Data

If using the DARTS service made a significant contribution to your research, we will greatly appreciate an acknowledgment like the following in your publication:
"This research made use of data obtained from Data ARchives and Transmission System (DARTS), provided by Center for Science-satellite Operation and Data Archives (C-SODA) at ISAS/JAXA."

Please send a reprint of the paper to:
Center for Science-satellite Operation and Data Archives (C-SODA), Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, JAXA, 3-1-1 Yoshinodai, Sagamihara, Kanagawa 229-8510, Japan.

Data Download

If you want to download a large set of data or make a mirror of some of the DARTS archives, please contact us (e-mail address is shown below). Upon request we will arrange the best way to transfer the data to your site. For example, we can provide the rsync service dedicated to other data centers or institutions.

We kindly request not to initiate more than several parallel sessions. That may reduce system response times for all users.

Acknowledgments from Us

The archival data and the databases in DARTS are provided in cooperation with the ASCA, Suzaku, Akari, Yohkoh, Hinode, Akebono, Geotail, and Reimei project teams at ISAS/JAXA and related institutes.

We thank NASA GSFC for helping us with the installation and maintenance of a CDAWeb mirror site at ISAS DARTS.

A part of our service (SIMBAD/name resolver) uses source code created at the Centre de Donnees astronomiques de Strasbourg, France.

The development of the DARTS system has been partly supported by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Reserach (Grant-in-Aid for Publication of Scientifica Research Results), and was partly supported by Japan Science and Technology Agency from 1998 to 2000.
