Match-up AKARI catalogues with Cached SIMBAD/NED catalogs

We have performed cross-identification between AKARI catalogues and all entries in SIMBAD/NED data services, and the AKARI-CAS database caches the corresponding SIMBAD/NED object data. This page provides an easy interface to obtain the FIS and IRC tables joined to almost all famous catalogs such as HD, NGC, SDSS, etc.

If you want to search an object by name, use Radial Search page. This page is suitable for users who want to get a list of AKARI objects in other catalogs.

Base catalog selection and search radius:
SIMBAD Cache
(Mar. 2013)
Cached SIMBAD object list contains all SIMBAD entries found around each AKARI object within 1 arcmin radius.
Pattern for object name:
Example1: `HD %', `PPM %', `2MASS %', etc. ... get all objects in a catalog.
Example2: `NAME %' ... get famous objects.
Example3: `%Hya%' ... get objects having `Hya' string in their names.
Pattern for object type:
Examples: `%*%', `ISM', `SNR', etc.
Note that setting object types categorised as `Radio', `IR', `Red', `Blue', `UV', `X' or `gamma' does not give desired result.
See Object Type in Simbad for details.
NED Cache
(Mar. 2013)
Cached NED object list contains all NED entries found around each AKARI object within radius of 1 arcmin. Only the nearest object for each catalog/type in the NED database is included. For example, when one SDSS star, one SDSS galaxy and two NGC galaxies are found for an AKARI object, registered data into CAS database are one SDSS star, one SDSS galaxy and one NGC galaxy.
Pattern for object name:
Example1: `NGC %', `SDSS %', etc. ... get all objects in a catalog.
Example2: `%Cyg%' ... get objects having `Cyg' string in their names.
Pattern for object type:
Examples: `G', `GPair', `G%', `QSO', etc.
See Object Type in NED.
Search Radius (Max: 1.0 arcmin)

The `%' and `_' are the wildcard characters of SQL. The percent sign (%) matches zero or more characters, and underscore (_) a single character.

You can select version of FIS and IRC catalogues by Database selector. Default setting is for latest version of catalog set.

A table [FisObjALL, IrcObjALL] or a view [IrcObj, IrcObj] is selected, when you select `all' or 'digest' on the Columns section, respectively.

See the SQL Tables page to find out more about tables for cached NED/SIMBAD catalogs.
